Details of Proposed Section

One European Officer for supervision in the New

Territories.

Two local Officers (Chinese for crops; Filipino for

Animal Husbandry).

Two Clerks (one at Headquarters, one at Experimental

Area).

One Senior Foreman, Two Foremen and a permanent staff

of 30 men.

Temporary staff as required.

Buildings.

Quarters for European Officer, local Officers and

Subordinate Staff.

Office, Store, Plant house, Farm Buildings.

Miscellaneous.

Water Supply, Tools, Manures, Planting Material,

Animals and Fowls for Breeding purposes, Foodstuffs,

Transport, Office Equipment, etc.

Fuller details of these services together with estimated

costs are contained in Appendices B. & C.

Duties of European Officer and Local Officers- The European

Officer to be responsible to the Superintendent for the

development, usefulness and efficient upkeep of the

Experimental Plantation and Farm, together with all

agricultural practices thereby involved. He will keep

in touch with all rural areas and their agricultural

activities and advise on any developments which may be

contemplated, if necessary assisting by practical direction.
